Training for Trainers for the OMEP-UK Education for Sustainable Citizenship (ESC) Award

If you are an individual or a group of experienced trainers or consultants who wish to attend training to qualify as an accredited SchemaPlay ESC trainer there are a number of opportunities currently available.

Significant economies can be made where we are able to make up training groups in your area. We need to know where you are based and which locations you would be able to attend for training.

For the purpose of accreditation, each trainee trainer will be provided with support and all the necessary training resources to work with an early years’ setting, in implementing the Award and supporting the practitioners in their development of a parent partnership through the use of ‘I-careā€¦’ activity booklets. They will support the setting in completing an ESC self-audit, and in setting targets for their curriculum development. They will also provide support to the setting in making its application to the OMEP Accreditation Committee for an Award.

SchemaPlay will provide continuous on-line support to trainees and settings, and at the end of what will often be no more than a three-month period, the setting will achieve the Bronze Award, and the trainer will gain their own accreditation as a SchemaPlay ESC Award trainer. This will enable them to independently train other practitioners, and prepare other settings for the ESC Award accreditation at Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels.
